 Research Focus of the Lab

We are trying to solve the following problems:

a)      What are the differences between cancer stem cells (CSC) and bulk tumor cells? What are the differences between cancer stem cells (CSC) and normal stem cells? Can we use this knowledge to identify / target these highly chemo- & radio-resistant cancer stem cells in colon cancer?

b)     We are trying to develop an in-vitro model using fetal neural stem cells (FNSCs) to help identify ways to prevent & treat cerebral palsy.

c)      Looking at ways to accelerate the process of bone healing through osteogenic inducers. We have identified a potential drug and are pursuing it further.
