The department has regular teaching programs involving junior residents, senior residents and the faculty, which consists of seminars, journal clubs and case discussions twice a week. This is in addition to the daily teaching activities during routine lab work. A six monthly semester examination is also conducted at the end of each term.

Inpatient Services

Main blood bank functions round the clock. All the outpatient services are provided for the in patients in addition, the department provides blood products for transfusion, therapeutic plasma exchanges and laboratory support to transplant services to inpatients.
